On November 21, our reverse 911 system (CodeRed) was compromised with a ransomware attack. They have since shut down the platform/web site and are currently migrating all of our information to a new system. Only users who had a user name and password had their information compromised (this should only be your name, address, and contact information). Once CodeRed has migrated us onto the new platform, users should log in and change their password.
Key details of the incident
    • What happened: A ransomware attack compromised the OnSolve CodeRED system, causing it to be shut down and forcing the company to decommission it.
    • Attacker: The INC Ransom group claimed responsibility for the attack.
    • Data breach: The incident resulted in a data breach, with stolen user data potentially including names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, and passwords.
    • Platform status: The legacy CodeRED platform has been permanently decommissioned and is being replaced with a new platform called "CodeRED by Crisis24".
  • Affected systems: The company states the attack was contained to the CodeRED environment and did not affect other OnSolve systems.
What users should do
  • Change passwords: If you used the same password for your CodeRED account and any other personal or business accounts, change those other passwords immediately.
  • Monitor accounts: Be vigilant and monitor your other online accounts for any signs of suspicious activity.
